Congress Must Eliminate
Spending Waste & Fraud

It is imperative that Congressional members take immediate action to stop the waste of taxpayer dollars. Congress - You must look past those who say (Americans must fund every national and international effort) and see that the money is not going towards goals that benefit American citizens, but rather the funding is being dispersed, inadvertently, to those whose goal is to tear America down.

It pains many Patriotic Americans to watch our government squander our taxpayer dollars. There is no doubt that there are those in Congress whose goals occasionally align with the people’s goals, but the overarching experience “We the People” have received has been constant failures from our Congressional members. It is a letdown to watch our money be wasted by those we elected to make wise decisions. Their excuses of not being responsible for watching the minute details of exactly where the money goes or that government departments are responsible and doing a fine job are nonsense. It is Congress responsibility to not fail the American people. Spending our country into trillions of dollars of debt is a serious failure. It shows a lack of the necessary skills to balance a budget or refrain from funding many unnecessary programs. Programs that are totally wasteful and that do not strengthen the United States economy in any way. In fact, many of these programs tear down our country’s foundational principles.

American taxpayers are funding a government to defend and protect our country, not support diversity, equity, and inclusion, halfway across the globe. We didn’t get 36 trillion1 dollars in debt because we had to; our Congress chose to. Republicans and Democrats alike have excused their spending as necessary, and while some spending is necessary, it must be approached from a sensible position of what is critical and what is secondary, perhaps even wasteful spending. Recently, Congress passed a Rescissions Act2 that would cancel funding for certain unnecessary programs; however, the package only covers a small portion of what Congress needs to address. This is a positive move in the correct direction, but at only $9.4 billion rescinded, the progress is too slow, and in the long term will most likely be ineffective. Congress needs to make better spending decisions, eliminate wasteful spending,3 and keep better tabs on exactly where taxpayer dollars are being spent.
