When electing a candidate to the U.S. Congress or the Presidency, a question generally thought of is, will this person put my interest above their own, and above their donors. A significant cause of the United States congressional shortcomings have a direct relation to the money and influence of large corporations, special interest, and rich elites. Each of these groups has their own agenda and the resources to finance it. When “We the People” elect a person to office, we trust they will not be swayed by the power and influence of the deep-pocketed individuals and groups. However, there are three components “We the People” must be wary of in the present political climate.

Component one is mainstream logic. This component has been around for decades, and it has deep roots in many Americans’ minds. Mainstream logic is promoted by the news, TV, songs, institutions of higher education, and the political candidates themselves that we listen to. It tells us the key to success is to continue moving forward and accepting the changes that are happening as progress. Open borders are not dangerous, previous generations were homophobic, misogynistic, and racist, and anyone who agrees with them is as well. Men in women’s sports promotes equality and, in fact, they say a person can be whatever gender they identify as. All of which are faulty statements. The conclusion is that mainstream logic is riddled with beliefs contrary to the fundamental key truths our nation is founded on.

Component two is diluting the class of those who serve in politics. This component operates off of the premise of lies and false hope for people who are struggling and exploits the sympathy anyone might feel for a cause. Sadness, happiness, joy, pain, excitement, and fear are all susceptible to this component, and it can be aptly considered the low-hanging fruit. This hunter vs the hunted mentality is caused by component one. Citizens are indoctrinated and conditioned by paid-for mainstream logic and given a bleak and dreary picture of their lives and their history. This image, once conceived in an individual’s mind, can be and is used by those seeking political power to convince this person they can solve the problems emotionally impacting them. Ask yourself, what do politicians’ campaign on? Costs, Medicare, housing, race rights, equality, having a secure nation, and even now the contrast between good and evil. Costs raised by the inflation elected officials cause, Medicare provided by the government, housing that is affected by the inflation they created, to which elected officials reply, let us step in and take control, equality in ways that are anti-equality, and even in ways that defy the cognizance and reason of truth vs a lie. Are any of these issues resolved when elected officials step in? The answer is a resounding NO. In fact, the issues tend to multiply and cause more problems. But these officials continue to be in power and carry out their plans because of component three, which one must admit lays responsibility on the American people as a whole.

Component three is as follows. Results are the primary motivator. This idea works both ways in politics. Elected officials who are re-elected every cycle will most likely not change their modus operandi, and voters who continue to be influenced by the previous two components will continue to elect the same candidates out of the hope of change. This is why, between the two political parties in the United States, the same faces continue to represent their cause for years. It is true that elections tend to vary between parties, because “We the People” are often apathetic when government decisions are having invisible but deadly repercussions. For a couple of terms, it may be a conservative and then, for a couple more, a liberal. But the overarching common denominator is the imbalance of the same politicians profiting versus citizens who continue to watch our countries overall decline. Elected officials are supposed to serve and represent the people’s interest to the best of their ability, and for decades this has not been the case.

For these reasons alone, it is clear why Americans elected Donald Trump to the Presidency. Americans are waking up to the lies and the dubious schemes of those who seek ultimate power and control. The people of the United States elected a candidate who keeps his word and fights every single day to further the best interests of his constituents. Every one of his constituents, not just those who voted for him. President Trump has proven by his actions that he will put the American people first, no matter the personal cost and this reason alone is enough to justify our support of his work for us. The efforts of the individuals in Congress to oppose the President are a clear reflection of where their allegiance lies. It lies with the money, power, and agenda of the special interest groups and large donors, not the American people. This is why “We the People” must stand united and create our own resistance to the mainstream logic, lies, and tragic results caused by the current political power structure. “We the People” must unite and elect candidates who will work together to benefit Americans and take a stand for what is right.
