“We the People” Want
Money Out of Policy Decisions

This week’s issue is a call to action for Patriots and Congressional officials. “We the People” must unite and stand together to elect officials who will make decisions that will benefit Americans and to take money out of politics. To Congress, when “We the People” bestow the solemn responsibility of office upon you, you must stand against those who would seek to gain at the expense of the American citizen.

There is an almost infinite number of words that could be said on the topic of money in politics, but to keep it simple, here are three points to illustrate the pattern by which money influences political decisions and one fantastic solution to this decades-old issue.

Number One: Money is currently the way politicians get into office. The last election proved you need money to win a Congressional campaign. Without some kind of funding, you have no way of advertising, holding rallies, doing events, or traveling for any other kind of outreach. Unfortunately, the larger donors may have sway or influence because of their money. This subtle understanding is hard to get away from when, as a Congressional member, you know, you still need the money for the next election.

Number Two: Large money holders always have their own agenda. There is rarely, if ever, a time when money is given freely by a wealthy individual, company, or special interest. Money almost always comes with a guarantee or is given for a product. In the case of a politician receiving a constituent’s donation, it is a promise that once elected a certain set of policies will be pursued. In the case of wealthy elites, large corporations, and/or special interest groups, who can tell what the promise or guarantee is… it is certainly not to put all Americans first.

Number Three: “We the People” are not the large money holders. We can’t afford to give all our money away to political campaigns. After all, the power of the people never was our money, it is our united voices at the election booth and to our Congressional officials. The downside of this is that over time some of those with money have taken advantage of the need for campaign funding and used it as a means to accomplish their agenda.

Logically, there is one question to ask. How do “We the People” overcome the distorted effect money has in politics and even Congress. We can’t outraise their money, but we can outraise their voice. If “We the People” don’t let them divide us and we stand united around common core traditional America first goals, we can win the fight and keep our freedom intact. Majority Votes is your platform to do just that. Patriots unite and vote weekly on crucial issues to give politicians direction and show Congress it’s not the money that has the power, but the united voice of “We the People!”
