It is a bright time to be living in the United States. The rays of sunshine are starting to peak through the clouds and, while there have been a few setbacks in the fight to preserve freedom, overwhelmingly the steps being taken and pieces put into place project a more stable and economically sound time to come. Having smart, competent, and America first elected officials in office improves the outlook we have for our country’s future. Something we as American citizens have to remember is the burden of responsibility we bear in our government. It is incumbent on every American citizen to vote wisely at each election to ensure our elected officials will pursue the America First agenda and safeguard the rights and freedoms enshrined in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. How do elected officials that will circumvent out rights and freedoms find themselves in office? How does one of America’s most recognized cities find itself with a mayor-elect who assures citizens he will bring about Socialism in the city? Hasn’t America traditionally stood against Socialism, knowing that Socialism has failed time and time again? The former President of the United States Joseph Biden allowed hundreds of thousands of calamities to occur under his watch. The effects of these failures has roared across our country like a tidal wave, causing people to be unsure of the economy, unsure of who to trust, unsure of the future. The people of New York City are looking for change, they are looking for provision and economic stability, affordability, and lower prices, like most Americans. Every American citizen needs to learn an invaluable lesson from New York City’s decision to elect Mamdani. Turning to the government to bail you out and solve your problems will steal your freedoms, leave you poorer, and decrease everyone’s quality of life. The American dream doesn’t rely upon the government to exist, it relies upon hard-working, dedicated, focused, Patriotic Americans. American citizens cannot place all the blame for our financial crisis or economic concerns on Congress or the President. Society has been lulled into a false belief that government has the answers to the problems, and the truth is that larger government causes more problems. We need to take responsibility and realize that we do not rely upon the government to sustain us or bring about a utopia for us to live in. Having self-reliance can be translated to taking personal responsibility for our actions and behavior, knowing that we have to work hard to succeed, that financial provision is not a guarantee nor a right, and that freedom and independence give us the opportunity to succeed based on merit and our commitment, not the government. We need to elect America first Patriotic people to office. Americans must understand that government is not here to solve all our problems or struggles. Government is here to secure our God given rights and freedoms, to distribute justice for crime, and to be a guard for the people’s security from foreign adversaries. Within these boundaries government is the safest to the people and the people recognize, growing government or depending on the government is not the answer. As we look to a bright future we have the opportunity, the gift, to take full responsibility, to enjoy the freedom of the greatest nation in the world and to employ hard work and dedication to receive the benefits of the American dream.
