In the year 2024, Americans had a choice. Would the United States continue to allow open borders and uncontrolled illegal immigration or would Americans choose to change these policies. President Trump campaigned on securing the border and deporting the massive flood of illegal immigrants who came in under the Biden administration. The defeated Kamala Harris promised to continue to implement immigrant friendly policies and claimed that the Biden administration had not made errors regarding border security or illegal immigrant entry. With these two views being the exact opposites of each other, Americans overwhelmingly voiced their views on the issue of border security, mass deportations, and future US immigrant policy. The logical follow-up question is, “What did Americans decide?”

             First and foremost, the American people were and are adamant that our nation’s borders must be secure. Entering our country illegally and evading our nation’s laws of entry is just a precursor and display that these illegal immigrants have no desire to assimilate to our laws or our society. Not only do Americans demand border security, but “We the People” expect our immigration laws to be enforced. It is one thing for elected officials to write a bad law; it is a completely different thing to ignore immigration laws that are already written. In 2024, then Presidential candidate Donald Trump campaigned on carrying out the largest deportation operation in American history. This issue was one of the leading topics that President Trump focused on as a matter of necessary change and national security for our country. With this knowledge in mind, over 77 million Americans cast their ballot for the President. DEPORTATIONS ARE IN ORDER! However, in our Congress, “We the People” are witnessing a disdain for the American people’s agenda that is blatant and extremely concerning. It has become more and more evident that many Congressional officials have no intention of fulfilling the American people’s agenda. The major goal many politicians are currently pursuing is to halt, interrupt, slow, and dismantle President Trump’s agenda, an agenda that is driven by the American people.

             One of the core requirements for national security is vetting of individuals who desire to enter our country temporarily or immigrate here permanently. In order to protect America’s sovereignty, it has become increasingly apparent that the vetting process must be stricter and more particular about who is allowed into our country. Our country cannot allow those in who desire to corrupt our way of life, our laws, our foundational principles, or the standards we have traditionally upheld. The nefarious tolerance and acceptance agenda being crammed down America’s throat will be the undoing of our nation unless we step up and take a stand. Consider for a moment the negative impacts of allowing illegal immigration to occur without consequences. Tolerating illegal immigration allows individuals to infiltrate our nation with plans for terrorism and assassinations. It encourages people that are of ill-repute to attempt to make it across our border and, with the wrong policies in place, often these dubious characters take advantage of these bad policies to traffic drugs and people into and out of our country. On top of these clear problems that open borders and illegal immigrants cause, we have sanctuary cities that pride themselves on making it hard for Federal Law Enforcement to enforce our immigration laws. These ‘Sanctuary’ locations across our country have made it their goal to provide a sort of protection for those who have broken our laws. The common denominator among these cities is their constant “obstruction” (denial of or limited cooperation with Federal Law Enforcement regarding immigration laws) of our nation’s immigration laws. On the basis of ‘protecting these “illegal” immigrants,’ these cities and their officials create an unsafe environment for American citizens and encourage those who have broken our immigration laws or those who would like to break our laws and enter our country illegally. Sanctuary cities make it harder for Immigration Law Enforcement to enforce immigration law.

             But what of Congress during the period of time that the Biden administration’s open borders and massive illegal immigration wreaked havoc on the American economy and the safety of American citizens? Or what of Congress now while President Trump tries to address the chaos and implement Americans immigration agenda? Much of Congress was and is too busy calling President Trump and everyone who disagrees with them names like fascist, racist, bigots, extremists, misogynist, and white supremacist. But that’s just the beginning of their attacks. How about the constant clips of the mainstream liberal-leaning news throwing out names like Xenophobe, Islamophobe, Transphobe, Homophobe, Transphobic, and maybe soon ‘Somaliaphobe.’ (you heard it here first) Who is a large portion of Congress prioritizing when it comes to the immigration problem? Illegal immigrants are the focus for many on the liberal side of politics. This is so wrong and the American people deserve better.
