“We the People” Voted For
Economic Affordability

Americans want affordability again. Seeing cheaper fuel prices is a step in the right direction, but there are a ton of cost issues left to address. Food and groceries, housing rent and homeownership, utilities and energy, transportation cost, and inflation are major issues that “We the People” want to see addressed. To Congress: Get busy and help the President achieve these goals! To the President: Prioritize the American people and ensure every decision made puts Americans first!

Being able to afford everyday expenses, a home, and the cost to go from place to place are paramount to a free and happy society. The American dream is built on freedom and hard work. Our dependence should NEVER be on government welfare programs. By the same token the government should do everything in its reasonable power to ensure Americans are put first and that the laws passed benefit the American people. In today’s economic climate, it is critical to decrease the domestic burden. Whether by tax reductions or removal of regulations and increased tariffs on foreign producers, there must be economic change that helps everyday Americans pursue and achieve the American dream.

Congress and the President’s administration have to attack grocery prices and food costs with a vigor. Americans want to see a drop in costs and to achieve that we need legislators to implement pro-American production policies and cut unnecessary harmful regulations; especially climate regulations that American politicians have been duped into following while our adversaries and competitors laugh at us for our foolishness. Unleashing American creativity and production is key to curbing the prices we are currently seeing. Encouraging America first policies and ending inflation’s unchecked effects will all contribute to bringing consumer prices down. Certain products are already seeing promising trends, but others continue to cost people a ridiculous and unnecessary amount. “We the People” need Congress to get behind our agenda and make rapid strides to pass legislation that encourages America first production; production that will assist in bringing prices down. As we do this we need to realize, when an explosion happens it happens quickly, but the cleanup process is anything but quick and the effects of the explosion are usually long lasting. Under the Biden administration there was an explosion. Congress is the cleanup contractor and President Trump’s administration is the crew. “We the People’s” stuff is what exploded and we elected Congress and the President to fix it. On a positive note, the national gas fuel price average has gone from a peak of $3.90 and $4.00 in 2022 to $2.85 and $2.95 in the first month of 2026. This is in large part the policies and decisions of President Trump and with this positive result in mind it is important to see the bigger picture. Part of the explosion is already being cleaned up and with continued support from “We the People” and cooperation from Congress the rest of the mess will follow suit.

As nice as it is to see some progress regarding transportation, there is still the need to address the housing ‘crisis’ that many of the next generation of Americans are facing. It is a crisis. Here’s why! The year 2020 showed the average home buyer in the United States at around 32 to 33 years old, in just 5 years the average first time home buyer in the United States increased 7 years, leaving the average first time home buyer at 40 years old. This means that housing prices have risen faster than incomes, effectively pushing first-time buyers 7 years further into their life before they can consider achieving a core piece of the American dream and historical pillar of our society and frankly any society. Show me a man without a home, a family, and God and a country without good, honorable, and righteous leadership and I’ll show you a broken nation and a morally depraved culture. When people can’t have their own home and Congress doesn’t care, either “We the People” do something or doom will follow and our country will suffer. For the past two decades with the exception of a few years American leadership has made it harder for Americans to afford virtually anything. Simultaneously shipping our tax dollars to foreign nations and capitulating to the activist group demands to stifle American production because of impending ‘climate change.’ The climate changes (seasons), but God gave man dominion until His promised return, so climate change isn’t going to end the world. On top of that, China, Russia, North Korea, our other adversaries, and many of our allies continue to ignore the burdensome policies we follow to “keep the climate clean,” and they laugh at us for our stupidity. That’s what our elected officials have been subscribing to and unfortunately many Americans have swallowed the lie as well. But now, it is apparent that we have to change our course or we will sink (metaphorically). Hopefully as the current President’s administration relieves the pressure on American production and decreases the regulations and bureaucratic red tape, production will surge, supply chains will be met, and consumer prices should decrease or at the very least stabilize to allow salaries to catch up to current costs.

With the focused attack on inflation and unleashing American innovation and productivity, time will show how strong and resourceful the United States economy can be when handled correctly. However, the only way that “We the People” can inspire these changes and commit Congress to our agenda and policies for years to come is with united and decisive action. Our voices are a force to be reckoned with when we unite around the values and principles that made the United States one of the greatest nations to ever exist.
