Ensuring Election Integrity
Only United States Citizens Should Vote!

Every voter to cast a ballot in United States elections must be a United States citizen. This is a non-negotiable position that “We the People” take and firmly stand upon. Anything less than citizen only voting undermines our very election system and threatens the future security, safety, and prosperity of our great nation. “We the People” insist that Congress and state officials acknowledge and implement this imperative position of citizen only voting!

Americans have made it clear that Election Integrity is important to “We the People.” A poll,1 published in 2024 by Gallup News, reported that 83% of participants support proof of citizenship to register to vote. The question asked participants if they favored or opposed, “requiring people who are registering to vote for the first time to provide proof of citizenship.” The poll went a step farther and asked people if they favored or opposed, “requiring all voters to provide photo identification at their voting place in order to vote.” This question received an 84% support measurement. A Previous poll,2 hosted by YouGov in 2022, stated that 65% of those polled thought voters “should be required to show proof of U.S. citizenship to vote.” The Center for Excellence in Polling conducted its own analysis3 in September 2025, concluding that 87% of likely voters support “requiring an individual to prove they are a U.S. citizen to register to vote in American elections.” Also stating: “Support for such a requirement is nearly 10 times as large as the opposition (only 9% oppose), and comes from large majorities, regardless of party affiliation. Republicans (96%) are nearly unanimous in backing proof of citizenship for voter registration, while a full eight in 10 Democrats support it, and Independents fall in between at 86 percent.” Across the political spectrum, across the United States, it is abundantly clear that the “We the People” want and support election integrity. We support showing ID at polling places and we support proving citizenship to vote. Voting is a right, but only a right to United States citizens!

Currently there has been a bill introduced in the House of Representatives by Representative Chip Roy of Texas District 21. This bill, titled H.R.7296 - SAVE America Act,4 would amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to “require proof of United States citizenship to register an individual to vote in elections for Federal office, and for other purposes.”

Adversaries of the bill submit the case that requiring potential voters to prove citizenship is an undue strain on the right of voting and that millions would be excluded from the right to vote on the basis of, while eligible, being unable to find or acquire the necessary documentation. Critics’ main claim is that very few non-citizens are voting, citing audits and reports to attest to the fact that this bill solves a “non-problem.” From the anti- SAVE act perspective, the act would create major barriers to potential voters by instituting unnecessary hoops that millions would have to jump through. Opposition says: “The SAVE Act would disenfranchise Americans of all ages and races, but younger voters and voters of color would suffer disproportionately” and “would place a massive unfunded burden on state and local election officials.” *A small note would be that these critics are many of the same individuals and organizations to advocate for stricter and increased gun ownership and usage laws (that’s our second amendment right). Liberal proponents of increased gun laws and regulations have no problem with making the second amendment right “harder” to achieve. But when it comes to election voter citizenship and ID… they’re OK with few or no security measures. There must be better protections put in place, other than a person’s word, to prevent individuals who are not United States citizens from voting in our elections. CITIZENS choose who will be the leader and make decisions on behalf of the United States, not foreigners.

Proponents of the bill argue that there is currently no true way to prove citizenship and that the current method, self-attestation (the action of formally witnessing or certifying something), is inadequate to meet the increasing concerns of Americans regarding election integrity. The proposed SAVE act is touted as the fulfillment of the American people’s position on citizen only voting and enhanced election integrity and trust are hailed as a core focus in the passage of the act. Advocates observe that passports, federal elected office, many federal civilian jobs, numerous state and local public-safety/service occupations, federal student aid, certain scholarships/grants, and many other welfare programs all require proof of citizenship. So, it isn’t far-fetched to verify CITZEN-ONLY Voting. Champions of the bill note the potential election security concerns related to the Biden administration’s illegal immigration surge and the rising foreign threats and digital interference in our country, stating action is mandatory. To those who stand with the SAVE act, the bill would ensure only citizens have the ability to register to vote and that public confidence is restored to our election process.

[18 U.S. Code § 611 - Voting by Aliens]5 proclaims “It shall be unlawful for any alien to vote in any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner…” But when it comes to enforcing this law, the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 provides a form that has a yes or no check box to the question, “Are you a citizen of the United States of America?” Other than taking people’s word for it, voters in our elections, may or may not be United States citizens. Probably the greatest rationale behind the SAVE act is that it solves American’s concerns regarding ensuring only citizens can register to vote in our elections. The critical set of amendments to the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 set forth in the SAVE act guarantee those who register to vote have to prove citizenship, with the two primary sources of proof being a passport or birth certificate. The SAVE act closes loopholes that raise doubt concerning the validity of election results by keeping non-citizens from voting. Americans support citizen-only voting and without advanced support tactics from “We the People” the SAVE act faces major if not insurmountable Congressional hurdles, especially in the Senate.

Freedom’s cause needs Patriots, just like you, to voice their support, and not just a few Patriots, but a whole country full of motivated, invigorated, and dedicated individuals who care deeply that our nation remains free and secure. To help make this happen, we ask every one of you, the faithful Majority Votes Patriot’s, to spread the word and share the message with everyone you know. THIS IS OUR CALL TO ACTION!
