Americans have called upon Congress to change their behavior and align themselves with “We the People’s” goals. Due to Congress refusing to change. Americans’ patriotic duty is also our greatest weapon and defense against those who are trying desperately to tear down the United States of America and the freedom it protects. Our right to vote, protected in the Constitution, gives “We the People” the necessary power to keep our elected officials accountable for their decisions in office. But more than that, it gives us the ability to choose and replace those who serve in office based on their track record and character. With this duty comes a warning that one could dare say has slipped Americans minds. We are blasted on every side by lies and deceit and “We the People” have failed to adhere to truth, moral clarity, and traditional Biblical and national values as the basis and guide for electing officials to office. Therefore, the quality of individuals in federal elected office, in large part, has headed steadily downhill.

Congress responsibilities and failures are easy to explain, but it’s truly hard to motivate the American people to do something about the lack of Congressional cooperation with “We the People.” Listen carefully to a caution for the American people given by founding father Samuel Adams.

“No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.” - Samuel Adams (Founding Father)

Every single American must self-reflect. Are “We the People” tamely surrendering our liberties. In the name of equality, diversity, inclusion, and benevolence have Americans allowed our foundational pillars to be crumbled? To gain pleasure and vanity for a season are we throwing away everything our founding fathers fought, bled, and died to bestow upon us? This is a serious question, and the apathy with which Americans avoid it is highly concerning. “We the People” must hold Congressional members accountable for their constant failures, but we must first hold ourselves accountable and stand together on principle and our traditional values to ensure we are the guards against tyranny and corruption in elected office.
