Throughout the United States history there have been countless stories that have inspired and encouraged future generations of Americans to strive for success with courage and determination. These stories have taught us failure is a crucial part of the learning journey, and that work-ethic and perseverance is key to cracking the code. While history has shown us successes to learn from, it has also shown us failures to avoid. The enemies of our country have been undermining American freedom for decades. Now, with the foundational pillars seemingly shaken, and people desperate for change and improvement, there is a lie going around with a tantalizing, but concerning promise. Those peddling it tell people they are entitled to a certain quality of life regardless of the effort or work they put into it; merit is displaced with expectation and hard work with ‘free’ handouts. This is the lie of progressivism, i.e. “Democratic Socialism.” “We the People” have a responsibility to the next generation of Americans and we have a duty to those who have fought for liberty before us. We must stand united to stop Socialism’s spread and reinforce the American Dream. We must keep freedom alive and well and prevent the hostile takeover and destruction of our nation. The burden of saving America’s dream is ours.
