The economic affordability in the United States of America is directly impacted by illegal immigration. Congressional officials have excused illegal aliens’ blatant disregard for our law and in fact, Congress has created welfare programs that illegal aliens take advantage of through various methods. “We the People” require Congress to fulfill their duty to the American people and help our economy by assisting in the efforts to deport illegal aliens.
A large group of Federal elected officials want to claim that illegal aliens benefit the American economy. These elected officials use this argument as an excuse to allow the illegal aliens that have entered our country to remain in the United States and not face deportation. But these elected officials don’t just desire for illegals to be allowed to stay, they want more illegal aliens to gain entry to our nation. Why? Why would anyone, especially the individuals we elect to make wise decisions for our government want to overrun our country with aliens! Could it be that unchecked immigration and unhindered illegal immigration helps their political agenda while simultaneously tearing down the framework our founding fathers gave our nation? The Biden administration allowed these illegal foreigners to enter our nation unhampered, by the millions, and during that time our economy most certainly did not strengthen. Instead, our economy became super inflated, and we watched miserably as consumer prices skyrocketed. History has proved that illegal aliens do not boost our economy nor assist the general welfare of our nation. To the contrary. By entering our country illegally, these aliens demonstrate their total disregard for our nation’s laws. It is illegal to enter illegally. “We the People” do not and our government officials cannot believe that illegal aliens are law abiding. Even the mainstream media has had to run a number of articles that display the cruelty that now prowls American states, cities, and communities. Reports of illegal aliens committing murder, assaulting women and children, and stealing from citizens have made national news because it is a serious problem and truly a tragedy that could have been prevented. Future attempts at crime can be thwarted, if people in elected office make the right decisions.
The negative economic effects that are produced by illegal aliens are often disguised and ignored by Congressional officials. One example of this are the remittances that legal and illegal immigrants send into foreign nations. [The term “remittance” refers to money made in the United States that is sent outside the United States.] The Federation for American Immigration Reform reported1 in July 2025, that the reliable data published in 2021, showed at least $200 billion annually leaves the American economy in remittances. The organization also observed that after the heightened immigration during the Biden administration, the number has most likely considerably increased. Consider for a moment this outlook on remittances. “Remittances effectively represent a transfer payment of hundreds of billions of dollars from American workplaces and communities to people abroad. To compound the problem, many migrants who send remittances out of the U.S. earn so little that they qualify for public benefits. The result is that American citizens subsidize social services and welfare benefits for aliens, legal and illegal, who send much of what they earn out of the country.” Said the FAIR organization’s article. Also stated in the article was an interesting piece of data that Americans should take extremely seriously: “Equally problematic, there is evidence that in some cases, remittances intentionally or unintentionally support cartels, human smugglers, terrorists and organized crime. As one report highlighted, approximately $4.4 billion out of the $58.5 billion in total remittances sent to Mexico in 2022 were potentially linked to cartels.”
However, remittances aren’t the only illegal alien factor affecting our American economy. People have to live somewhere, and our national housing situation’s problems were compounded by the illegal immigration surge during the Biden administration. In fact, during the open border crisis, hotels in New York were contracted to house illegal aliens and paid for with taxpayer dollars.
The Center for Immigration Studies posted a report2 in February 2026. The study analyzes program use by foreign and U.S. born headed households. Key findings include the following points: “The 2024 SIPP indicates that 53 percent of households headed by immigrants — naturalized citizens, legal residents, and illegal immigrants — used one or more major welfare programs. This compares to 37 percent for U.S.-born households. Compared to households headed by the U.S.-born, immigrant-headed households have especially high use of food programs (35 percent vs. 22 percent for the U.S.-born) and Medicaid (39 percent vs. 27 percent for the U.S.-born) Fifty-one percent of households headed by legal immigrants use at least one major welfare program. Among illegal immigrants, the estimated rate is 61 percent. Illegal immigrants can receive welfare on behalf of their U.S.-born children, and illegal-immigrant children can receive free/reduced price school lunch/breakfast and WIC directly. A number of states provide Medicaid to some illegal-alien adults and children, and a few provide SNAP. Immigrant welfare use is common among both newer arrivals and established immigrants. Of households headed by an immigrant in the U.S. for less than 10 years, 48 percent access one or more programs as do 54 percent with a head in the U.S. for 10 or more years.”
These findings show that the American economy and government spending is directly tied to illegal and legal immigration. The poor management of immigration by federal, state, and local officials has been detrimental to the economy. Immigrant family re-unification does not equal assimilation, in fact, the opposite has commonly occurred as displayed by essentially the Somali takeover in Minnesota. Assimilation and love for America and America’s values must be an essential component of immigrating to our nation. It is shocking how many violent crimes the news has run that are committed by illegal and legal immigrants. Naturalizing people that do not make good Americans is an error and a mistake. Our government needs better vetting before EVER allowing anyone to gain legal status in the United States of America. And illegal aliens must be deported. PERIOD! “We the People” must stand up in the midst of all the craziness that is happening.
